Where Should You Be Investing Your Advertising Dollars?

Print? TV? Billboards? Handing out free pies at the local farmers market? Try again. The answer is much more simple, Social Media.

Social media advertising is a great tactic to use to supplement your other inbound marketing efforts. There are many business owners who are wondering why their advertising dollars aren’t getting them the attention that it got a couple of years ago. The easy answer is that more and more of our collective attention is now placed on mobile devices. Therefor, just like your website, your ad needs to be mobile responsive. And while that creates a new challenge, it is easy to remedy. All of the major social media platforms have advertising built in and allow any size business to get involved, especially on mobile platforms.

The numbers don’t lie.

Facebook alone has 1.28 Billion active users per month and the total users is growing so rapid any concrete number is irrelevant after a few minutes.

Social Media sites such as Facebook allow you to engage a larger audience more frequently and effectively than a newspaper ever could, all while allowing you to select very targeted demographics for your ads.

Twitter has 255 million active users per month and over 1 Billion total users! 500 million tweets are sent per day, so if you’re not already involved with Facebook or Twitter, now is your chance.

Now, we’re not saying that you should completely stop other advertisements, but the distribution of those dollars should be focused primarily on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
